What happens to
your information.

This page explains how your cost-chart and financial inputs are handled, what personalized invitations communicate to Iceworks, what you may choose to share, and how long submitted records are kept.

Updated October 26, 2026

Private by default

You can explore the Capital Readiness calculator and the single-machine cost illustration without creating an account or sharing detailed financial information. Your browser performs calculations based on the amounts you input. Simply changing a number, moving a chart slider, replaying a chart animation, or printing the page does not submit those entries to Iceworks.

Opening a personalized invitation link is different from viewing the public page: When you click on the personalized invitation link, the site contacts Iceworks' invitation service to verify the link and retrieve the greeting and market information. This request does not include your detailed financial entries. The limited summary described below is sent only if you later choose to submit your financial information.

Interactive charts and your inputs

The single-machine cost illustration uses the equipment-and-installation amount, cost per scheduled maintenance visit, number of scheduled visits, and month you select. These chart-specific entries are used to update the illustration in your browser; they are not included in the optional Capital Readiness Summary submission.

The cost chart is a planning illustration, not a calculation of collected lease payments, earnings, profits, investment recovery, or return on investment. It does not estimate how many customers will lease equipment or how a franchise may perform. The chart's displayed assumptions, cost exclusions, and explanation should be read alongside the graphic itself. Consult the current Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and qualified advisers when evaluating franchise opportunities.

What you can choose to submit

If you use a valid personal invitation, you may choose to submit a limited Capital Readiness Summary by reviewing the displayed summary, checking the consent box, and the submission button. The submitted summary contains only deployable funds, selected startup cost range, low-to-high capital gap, general financing status, and general readiness flags. Iceworks also records the associated invitation identifier, consent version, and submission date and time.

The optional Financial Snapshot is not included in that submission. Details such as salary, individual asset or account balances, property values, retirement assets, net worth, mortgages, and debt payments remain in the browser. The separate single-machine cost-chart settings are also excluded from the submission. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account credentials, full credit scores, or birth dates through this tool.

Website hosting and technical data

The site is served through GitHub Pages. Personalized-invitation requests use Iceworks' Supabase service over HTTPS. Like other website and service providers, these services may process technical connection information—such as IP address, request time, browser details, and security or access logs—when your browser accesses them. This is distinct from Iceworks receiving the financial figures you type into the chart or calculator.

For personalized Iceworks invitations, our portal records the invitation associated with a successful page load, the date and time it was opened, and whether the visitor selects Begin Exploring. This is first-party activity tracking used to understand invitation engagement and guide franchise-discovery follow-up. It does not establish the visitor's identity; links can be forwarded, and automated systems may open links. Iceworks does not intentionally store IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or financial-input values in this invitation activity log. Access to these records is limited to authorized Iceworks personnel. Events remain associated with the invitation while its record is retained.

Iceworks does not use a third-party advertising-analytics script on the Capital Readiness page. Its cost chart uses Chart.js version 4.5.1, loaded as a pinned JavaScript library from cdn.jsdelivr.net. Loading that library makes a technical web request to the CDN, which may process connection information. However, the chart’s dollar amounts, slider choices, and detailed financial inputs are not sent to that provider by the chart. Opening an outside link may take you to a site with its own privacy practices. Printing or saving as a PDF is handled through your browser or device.

Purpose and access

Iceworks uses voluntarily submitted summaries for franchise-discovery conversations and related follow-up. Access to stored summaries is restricted to authorized Iceworks personnel through the administrative service and its access controls. A submitted summary is not a loan approval, lending decision, automatic franchise qualification, or guarantee of financial suitability. We do not sell submitted financial summaries.

Market research (PUDI)

We may show general market-research information about a city or territory. Submitting a readiness summary does not automatically unlock proprietary PUDI* scores, underlying formulas, or reports. Iceworks may choose to discuss approved market findings separately. Market information is not a guarantee of customers, placements, revenue, earnings, or business success. (*PUDI stands for Potential Unit Density Index)

Retention and deletion

Voluntarily submitted Capital Readiness Summaries and associated consent records are subject to a 90-day retention schedule. An active daily database cleanup job is configured to remove eligible records; scheduled deletion is not necessarily instantaneous at the exact 90-day mark. Expired invitation records are eligible for cleanup after 30 days when associated submissions have been removed. Internal administrative action logs are subject to a 365-day retention limit. Service-provider backups and technical logs may have separate retention periods.

To inquire about, correct, or request earlier deletion of a voluntarily submitted summary, email michael@iceworksus.com. Certain legal or operational obligations may require retention for longer. We may need to confirm your connection to the invitation before changing or removing a record.

Security and invitation links

Personal invitation links contain random, expiring access tokens and are checked through an HTTPS service. The database uses access restrictions, and the public calculator cannot directly retrieve submitted summaries or private market reports. Treat your invitation link as confidential; a person with access to a working link may be able to view its personalized greeting or submit a summary using it. No online system offers absolute security.

Financial illustrations and franchise disclosures

The current single-machine chart only illustrates selected equipment, installation, and scheduled maintenance costs. It does not model income, profit, payback, or a financial return. Your entries and the resulting chart are not a financing offer or a promise of franchise performance. Actual business costs and outcomes can differ significantly from simplified reference examples.

This Privacy & Retention page is not an Item 19 financial performance disclosure and cannot replace the current FDD. Any future illustration of potential franchise revenues, profits, or investment recovery would require separate review and, where applicable, the basis, substantiation, and financial-performance disclosures required by the FTC Franchise Rule. An illustration is not exempt from those requirements merely because it is hypothetical, uses user-selected assumptions, or contains a disclaimer.
